Wednesday reflection

IALT:pick a hobby and deeply think about it

Wednesday morning just before 9:30 we had to work on our Ako presentation. For the Ako presenting afternoon. We had to pick a hobby we like and we had to work with a classmate and I wanted to work with Losana. What Losana and I picked for our Ako presenting afternoon hobby was Music/ Singing. In the presentation it talks about what makes us, us and who our inspirations are,Who can support us to guide us there and More. It took us 2 and a Half days to finish this presentation. But Wednesday afternoon was when we presented to the whanau and teachers who came to see our classroom. Losana and I came late to class because we lost track of the time. When we got in the classroom Ms Komor was calling our name to give us our name tag.When we got our name tag we went to our station and had to wait for the whanau to come and ask what we picked for our topic. After all of the whanau/teachers who came only 1 parent and 1 teacher came then we had to get our bags and go home.
What I found challenging was having a little bit of time to finish the whole presentation with my partner because there are 14 slides in the presentation. What I enjoyed was working with Losana because I always work with her in other presentations.

D.A.R.E Program with Constable

IALT: Publish the work we did.

Last week Thursday and Friday and this week Monday and Tuesday Constable Teina came to Room 9 to have a session about the Dare Program. The Dare program stands for Drugs Alcohol and I dont know what the R and E stands for. In the dare program we talked about what drugs can do to you. On Friday Constable Teina came and talked to us about theses ads and what they do. 1 ad was about a rapper that is telling us to not smoke and Drink. Another was about a chicken that was shown on a magazine to make others bye the chicken or make it. But Constable Teina said that they use Hair spray to make the chicken shiney. On Monday we looked at the people who did Methamphetamine. There were people who did Meth. This man called William Bell did meth and Came to the Mount Wellington RSA and killed 3 people a 1 badly injured. I wasnt here on Tuesday but I was pretty sure that Constable Teina come in because I wasnt here.

What I enjoyed in the sessions with Constable Teina was that I didnt know that they used Hairspray to spray on that Chicken.

Matariki Word Search

IALT:Blog the create part of my work and its a word search

Yesterday Losana,Akanesi and I have created a word search about Matariki. We created a word search because in the last slide of the presentation is the create part and it was to create anything you want and we created a word search. In the word search there are basic words about Matariki. Some of the words are the 6 sisters with the 1 mother,Maori and more. Here is the word search↓↓↓↓↓↓↓↓↓↓

What I found challenging was making the word search with Losana and Akanesi because it was quite hard to put it in order. What my next steps are is to try make more word search for the create part of my recording. What I enjoyed was working with my friends because I wouldn't have finished this task if it wasn't for them.

Water Safety Poster

IALT: Publish my Water Safety Poster.

Today I am here to publish our Water Safety Poster . This poster is about things we need to use to be safe in the water. In this poster there is →↓.

What I found challenging was finding cliparts of it because I dont really use Life Jackets,Floaties and Goggles underwater and in the water. What I enjoyed was working with Akanesi and coming up with things we need to keep us safe in the water or near the water. What my next steps are is to try use thing I dont really use because you might need it.

Vector Wero Whitewater Park

IALT: Reflect on what I was working on for Inquiry

Today I have worked with Losana and Akanesi during Morning block. The work we have a little bit completed is our Vector wero whitewater PARK. Here is the link to their site 😩 . I feel nervous going to this water park because I haven't experienced what its like. In this presentation it is talking about what kinds of activities there are in this park and the Terms and Condition.

What I found challenging was trying to create the park design because I have created my own park so I havent completed it. What I enjoyed was working with my peers on this Presentation because We have this trip and we are going to it on Friday the 9th.

That Sugar Film Part 2

The Sugar Film part 3

IALT:Reflect on one part of the Film I have watched with my peers.



Today In the morning block my class and Room 10 was watching That Sugar film. The film was about how sugar can affect our body and what 4 types of sugars we eat. The 4 types of sugars we eat is Fructose, Sucrose, Lactose and Glucose. Here is the presentation Losana and I worked on. Be aware this is Part 3 I haven't finished part 1 and 2 because we haven got time to finish it.

What I found challenging was to find out what the 4 types of sugars there are. What I enjoyed was working with Losana in this presentation because I didnt really know what some of the slides meant.

📖That Sugar Film part .1 - Inquiry📖

IALT:Reflect on my Inquiry task that was given to me and my peers from my Kiamanuwanui Teachers.

Today at 9:15 Me, Leilani and Akanesi have been working on our Inquiry task that My teacher Mrs Kormor gave to my class. The slides were about this documentary that was called That Sugar Film and it is all about how there is hidden sugar in healthy food. The main Character in this documentary was Damon and he was doing a research on how sugar can affect our body's and how much sugar we eat in the morning. Some Slides I have Completed and Some I have so here is the slides that Me,Leilani and Akanesi have completed and here to share.

What I found challenging was trying to find out what some of the 4 types of sugars are. What my next steps are is to try research more about the 4 types of sugars are. What I enjoyed was working with my peers and completing some slides.

Sandwich making Hour

IALT: Reflect on an hour I have been working on for inquiry.

Today at 10:00 we had a Inquiry lesson on sandwich making. In this lesson we had to make a sandwich. First we all got separated into 5 groups and the group I was ib was ib first we did our Walt then our Success Criteria. Our Success Criteria was to have...

1. Protein
2. Fats and 
3. Carbohydrates

Then we got into making our sandwiches. The ingredients that we given to us to use were...

• Mayonnaise
• Butter
• Cheese
• Tomatoes
• Cucumber
• Bread
• Lettuce
• Ham
  

So firstly I got my bread and got a knife and got some of the mayonnaise and spread it out on the bread like a normal butter then put about 2 or 3 breads on my bread then added a little bit of cheese and some Ham. Then I got another bread and put it on top and that finished my sandwich.

What I found challenging was eating the amount of cheese I put in my sandwich because I don't really eat cheese. What my next steps are is to try put in more food products. What I enjoyed was getting to eat early but I didn't quite Finnish it because It was time to pack up.

Pink Day Presentation

Today I have finished most of my presentation on Pink Day that My Teacher (Mrs Kormor) Has shared with my whole class yesterday. Today I will be sharing with you guys what I have Finished and with be updating my finished slides when I finish it.

What I found challenging was trying to  finish this task in and hour and I was close but only needed 2 more slides. What My next steps are is to try and finish my work that I really need to work on and blog before I do the blog on my work I can do some other day. What I enjoyed was that I could actually work by myself and finish most of my slides in an hour.

Four Food Groups

WALT:Reflect on our Inquiry task

Yesterday I was working with a buddy named Leilani and we were working on a task that was given to us by my teacher Miss Komor to work on because we had a reliever. In this task we were working on what Fat is what kind of food Islander's eat and me and Leilani did some slides each on what we wrote in our work. 

What I found challenging was trying to try find out what Protein means. What I enjoyed on doing this task was that me and Leilani did our work a little bit to standards.
