WALT:Reflect on what we did in our Music Lesson

Today we had another music lesson with Caleb in the Music Room. Today we talked about what the structure is in Music and it is 

1. Intro
2. Verse
3. Chorus
4. Pre-Chorus
5. Bridge
6. Outro

We talked about brainstorming and the first thing we brainstorm as a group was boy we said that boys are,

• Ugly
• Smelly
• Pretty
• Tall and more

We also talked about brainstorming about what we wanted to write about.We brainstormed about the ocean and what we came up with is ...

We got help from Caleb our music teacher to write the oceans perspective.Caleb talked about writing from its perspective it would change your language.Then Caleb went through with use on how we wanted to write our song. He said we could use a playback from youtube and listen to it then write lyrics or write the lyrics and listen to the playback. Then the bell rang and it was time to go back to class.

I felt happy going to music because I got to learn new things like you not have a chorus for a song. Next time I would like to work on expanding more on what my topic is about. The challenges I found was finding the perspective of the ocean we are going to write about. What I enjoyed in this music lesson was that everyone had a go at contributing what they had came up with.

Music Lesson 1-Song Writing Group

Today we went to our Music lesson today and it was SongWriting

I am learning how to Song Write

Today for music it's quite different. So there are 5 different 

options you can choose to learn around in the areas of music. 
They are...,

• Songwriting
• Keyboard
• Drums
• Digital
• Guitar/Bass

I have chosen to learn about songwriting, because it was the 

first day we basically went through the elements or music, 

and the elements of a song. We talked about how to make 

music and what the Elements were in music and in a Song.

Elements of MUSIC

• Beat
• Rhythm
• Pitch/Notes
• Tempo
• Dynamics

Elements of SONGS

• Introduction/Intro - Beginning
• Chorus - Main Part (Repeats)
• Verse - (Not Repetitive)
• End/Outro
• Hook/Riff - Instrumental or vocal part to catch the listener
• Bridge - Change up
• Pre-Chorus -

Others:

• Bars
• Tune/Melody
• Harmony
• Instruments
• Chords

We also listened to different songs, and tried to find which 

parts of the song's were the chorus, intro, pre chorus, bridge 

and more... We were also given a task to complete for next 

week. Caleb (our Music Teacher) said we had to find 3 

different songs, and we had to try and find which were the 

parts of the bride the intro, and the chorus and more! I have quite 

decided what 3 songs I would like to research about and they are...

• Stay By Me - Sam Smith
• Beyonce - Listen

What I enjoyed about this lesson was that 

Everyone 

participated and contributed in the the work 

we were doing
