Cybersmarts

IAL: how to create a code and leaern new things

Today in the morning block Mrs Shearing came into my class to have our last Cybersmart lesson for this term. But in today's lesson we had a lesson about HTML. HTML stands for HyperText Markup Language. HTML describes the structure of the webpage, what text, images or links are on the page. She gave us this work because she was working with Year 12's at Tamaki College and she asked if my class could do it and the Year 12's said no because its was quite hard for them.

While we were doing this work we were asked to go on the site where we are doing the HTML thing and we had to learn codes and new things. The site is called Codepen.io. We had to do what Mrs shearing wanted us to do and that was to learn how to type a code and it would come up with it. On our class site is some shortcuts you can do on the Codepen.io site and here are the shortcuts.

The HTML <head> element has nothing to do with HTML headings. The <head> element is a container for metadata. HTML metadata is data about the HTML document. Metadata is not displayed. The <head> element is placed between the <html> tag and the <body> tag:

After putting some codes on and  colours on the codepen.io site we had to save everything that is on the top right hand corner of the screen. Then we had to close our netbooks because it was time for us to pack up and get ready to go and get ready and go and have our morning tea and then come back up because we had to go swimming after that.

What I found challenging was that I didn't understand what the codes were until I went on the site and looked at all the codes. What I enjoyed was that I learned how to make a code.

Story Board

IALT: Reflect on a Cyber Smart Task.

2 day ago Sana,Nesi ,Lani and I have been working on a story board that was given to us by our Cybersmart teacher Mrs Shearing. In our storyboard it is about What makes a good quality blogpost. Sana,Nesi ,Lani and I all have a part and this is the story board. We have quite finished but here is what we have.

                                                                                                                                                                         

What makes a good quality blogpost!
  
How is the message going to be delivered (e.g. discussion between two people, puppet play, song, etc)

Losana: Good Morning Tamaki, This is School News once again brought to you by Losana,  Akanesi, Ana & Leilani, This is once again your 1 in a minion news group!
Akanesi: So guys, What’s today’s topic?
Leilani: Today’s topic is “What makes a good quality blogpost?”!
Ana: Hmmmm? Interesting so?
Losana: So let’s take a tour around Tamaki Primary getting the perspectives of others!
Akanesi: Let’s go!!!

What I found challenging in this task was thinking of the parts I want in this Story Board. What my next steps are is to try come up with more parts for this story board. What I enjoyed was working with Sana,Nesi and Lani.

Reuse and Atribute

IALT: Reflect on another cybersmart lesson with Mrs. Shearing

Tuesday last week, I have worked on Reuse and Attribute with my class. At 10:00 we had a cybersmart lesson with Mrs Shearing and we were talking about images. She said the there are some images you could use and there are images you are not allowed to use. Mrs shearing told us to go on our class site and click the Cybersmart link and it will lead us to the presentation. While we were reading it she said once you finish reading you may start so this is what I have done in this Cybersmart Session with Mrs, Shearing. When I was finishing my work I have put 3 photos and what the licenses type,Author and what the name is called on the presentation.

What I found challenging on completing this task was finding out what the License type is because it was quite hard and then I got help from Mrs shearing and then I knew how to do it. What I enjoyed was completing this task and finding out the License Type it was. What my next step is, is to try use what Mrs Shearing taught us and find out what images we can use.
