My Weekend Reflection

IALT: Reflect on what I did in the weekend.

Yesterday I woke up at 8:30 to get ready to go church. When I was ready it was 9:50 so I asked my mum to drop me off for the sunday school. When I was in sunday school we talked about how this King had a dream and he didn't know what it was about so he called smart people to tell him what his dream was about but they didnt say it. So i think the kings assistant wanted to kill every smart person so they could not tell him his dream or else he would punish them (I THINK). Then sunday school finished and we had to go and sit and get ready for the 1 hour church service. We had to sing and wait for the men's to come in before we start the service. The man that was preaching was my Cousin. He did a long preach but it wasn't an hour it was like about 45 minutes. After that we had to get put into our church groups and the groups are. Sunday Schools, and a group just higher than us and a group way higher which is all the old people are in.

We had to go in our groups because we had to sing. Everyone did 2 songs but they were long. Ana to make that even longer people were talking so that took ages. After all the songs has been sung we had to finish and then we had choir. When we were singing I was called to go home to make food for this family thing in the night time. When we were cooking food I had to go with my cousin to mangere to pick up my cousins for the family thing. We had to wait for ages and it was night time so after that we had to go straight to the house where we are doing the family thing and when we got there even more people come so then we had to pray and then eat because the food was getting could. After eating we stayed for a little bit and then we had to go home and sleep for school.


What I enjoyed was eating with family because I never really see them that much. What I found challenging was waiting for my cousins because we were waiting for ages.

Then we watched it all over and it looked cool so there is the finished touch.

What I found challenging was writing down the rules because I had forgotten all of the rules and so I asked Akanesi to help me so we both wrote the rules. What I enjoyed on working wit my peers was finishing before Lunchtime because we had the first block to finished so we finished it now. What my next steps are is to try listen more to the rules so I can write it in my reflection.

Reading Reflection

IALT:Reflect on what I have read for Reading.

Today after school I came home and did a read for reading today. In this Article/Book it is talking about "How Often we need to eat",:What happens when we eat and more. In the first paragraph there were words I didnt know existed until I read it all and here are the words and what they mean...

• KiloJoules:A measure of food
• Metabolism; A chemical that occurs the living organ to maintain life

and other words. In the second paragraph it was all about if "Does eating more often use more energy. What are your thoughts? My thoughts on this question is yes because when you eat a lot to start to slow down not being sad. Then I read more. When I finished ready then I thought to myself that I should start eating more or less. Then I closed the tab and started my reflection.

What I found challenging was finding out what words I didnt even know, and finding out what it means. What my next steps are is to try learn more on this topic. What I enjoyed was working on work after school.

After School Reflection

IALT:Reflect on what I have done for 1 hour after school.

Today after school I was walking with Losana to the shops then walked home. When I reached home there was a red car parked outside then I knew it was for my brother because he finished school early. So then I went inside and had a rest. When my mum came back she told me to clean up my room before we go church. So I cleaned up and Picked clothes to wear to church. When we went church we had a long service and then we finished. We then had to choir session and it was to perform with all other churches. Then we came home and watched Shortland Street.


What I found challenging was cleaning up my room because it was very messy. What I enjoyed was singing in the choir.

Anzac Tables

WALT:Reflect on what me and my class worked on during maths

Today my class was working on a maths task that we had to do on a worksheet and it was called Anzac Tables. On the Anzac Tables worksheet we had to answer question that had timetables. We had to do 3 worksheet on the Anzac Tables because it gets harder and harder. In the worksheets we had letters that represented the equaled number so for example if 2 x 5 = 10 the letter will be L because we have a column with letters and numbers under it.

WHat I found challenging was that I didnt know what some of the answers are so l asked Losana. What I enjoyed was working with people.What my next steps are is to try work out the answers by myself.

Technology Reflection.

IALT:Reflect on what I did at Technology

Today at 9:00 we went to Technology at Tamaki Kolisi ( Tamaki College). When we arrived my group was ready to go to our class because Mrs. Ferguson was waiting for us. When we got into our class we had to start our Compass skills. We had to start on it and finnish it because it was our last day today This is what I did. My Tech class had to draw 7 circles to make a flower and this is the steps.

1. Draw a circle with a compass and draw the

centre line through it with a ruler.

2. Where the first circle crossed the centre

line gives the centre points for the next

two circles.

Draw these circles in with a compass.

3. Where these 3 circles cross will give you

four points. These are the centre points

for your next circles.

Then I finished and this is my finished product.

My thoughts on today was getting to know how to use the Pair of Campasses , or is known as a Compass.Then we had to clean up and had to head back to school

What I found challenging was doing the circles because it was hard because it was my first time doing it. What my next steps are is to try get use to it. What I enjoyed was getting to finish before everyone.

Kiwi Can Reflection

WALT: Reflect on what we have done at Kiwi Can

Today after morning tea we had buddy class for nearly an hour. At 12:15 we had to walk down to Kiwi Can sensibly because we were walking past the juniors and they were working. When we arrived we got asked to form our class into 4 or 5 lines. In my line it was Myself,Losana,Leilani,Akanesi,Sene and Toma. Firstly we started off with a greeting and the greeting was Aloha. Mr M and Miss Lilly asked were the greeting is from and Akanesi replied Hawai. Mr M then said that he wanted to go to Hawaii. Mr M said that he was going to give it to Miss Lilly and she will do that talking. Miss Lilly said that we were getting into our energizer and the energizer was called 15 second. How the game goes is , that you have to find a person you dont really know and find out what there Favorite Food is,Weekends,Destination and Favorite colour. Firstly I was with Losana and she said her favorite colour was blue,she went church,she wants to go Rarotonga. Then I was with Leilani, her favorite food, is fettuccine, her favourite colour is blue, her favorite weekend was sleeping in, and lastly her holiday destination was Fiji, or Tonga. I think the point of this game is to get to know everyone.

Next we had another lesson on what disagreeing ment. We had to answer what we think disagreeing means and some answers were like,Disagreeing is having 2 viewpoints on 1 thing.

The we had an activity. I wasn't sure what the game was called but I am really sure that it had something to do with maze. The game is played with two teams versing each other and you have to put 9 things to form a puzzle,so the passcode on your phone is how they explained it. Mr M and Miss Lilly said we had to put 1 chair at the starting point and 1 chair at the Finnish. So it was my team and Team 3 and Team 1 and Team 2. Mr M took my team and Team 3 game and Miss Lilly took Team 1 and Team 2. So 1 person from a team has to play Rock,Paper,Scissors with your opponent and if you win you get to pick if you want to start or not, I chose start and I had to stand at the start and had to move straight,across or diagonal. Then we had 4 or 5 round and who ever won had to vs the losing team and my team won again and we had to vs the winning team and it took 3 -5 rounds and we ended up winning. Then Mr M said we had to finish because it was nearly lunchtime. We had to line up and had to walk back up to class.


What I found challenging was that when it was my turn it was hard to pick if I wanted to go diagonal or not. What I enjoyed in this activity was that we had fun and won our games. My thoughts on this reflection is that everyone had fun and was playing fun.

Weekend Reflection - Saturday

WALT:Reflect on what we did on the weekends



On Saturday I woke up at 8:30 am to get ready for our music lesson at TPS. When I got ready I had to wait for my cousin to come so we can both  go together, but he wa to late so I asked my cousin to drop me off and she said yes because she is going to my nephews rugby tots program in Botany. When I arrived at school I went and asked the people who were at the counter if we just go to the room straight away and they said yes so I went. The class I am in is the Violin class and the is Room 5. I arrived at the class and know one was there so I just went for a little walk. We I came back 15 or 20 seconds later everyone started coming. We learned how to strum with the bow on the violin. The Equipment we used were,

• Violin
• Violin book

Then the lesson finished at 9:30 and I had to wait for my cousin to get a bow because he didn't receive one the week before. Then me and my cousin had to walk to my house because my niece was there and we had to look after her. Soon later it was my cousin and my nephews lesson time because they were learning how to play the recorder,and my Older niece had to drive them to school. The 10:30 came and me and my cousin had to walk back to school and pick them up,Soon later my cousin came and we had to clean up and had to go to the preschool because my mum and that we threading the mat.

We had to help with the yarn because it was only us there and my cousin was the only one threading at the time. Then everyone came and helped and they came with food. When we finish eating the food the kids and I had a little free time until the sunday school people had to go choir. At the sunday school choir we learned new songs that we had to perform on sunday. Then we had to go back to the preschool and we had to clean up to get ready for Monday. Then we went home and had to go sleep because it was about 9:00 or 10:00.

What I enjoyed doing on Saturday was that I went choir and learned new songs. 

What I found challenging was that the songs were quite a bit hard. What My next steps are is to keep practicing the violin. My thought on the Violin Session is to try ask the instructor on how to play songs so he can teach us. I didn't feel like going to the pre school because they dont have Internet and I felt like blogging in my freetime.

Weekend Reflection-Sunday

WALT:Reflect on what we did on the weekends

Today I woke and it was 9:10 and it was time to get ready and head over to church. We had sunday school at 10:00. Sunday school finish and it was time to get ready and be seated for the preach. When we were seated we had to sing to guide the pastor in and stand on the stand and pray. When we finish singing he had to read the hymn,then he had to pray on thanking god.Then he had to read the bible and the sunday school had to perform. When he finished reading the bible he had to sit don and listen to what we were performing.

 Losana's Sister,My Brother and My brothers friend was singing. The the pastor had to read a little bit more about the bible and had to read the hymn,we had to stand up and sing.Then we had to sit back down and the pastor had to read the bible again and then had to put it in his own words.Then he read the hymn again and we had to stand up and sing. We seated back down and had to listen to the oldies pray. Then the pastors had to pray and finish the church. The the Pastor had to come to the table and pray there because we had a session on standing and saying what we wanted.Then the session finished and we had choir straight after.

 We learned new songs and practice some old song, then the choir finished and I had to go home and change into a dress because some of my family members attended my newborn nieces blessing. Then the blessing was finished and we had to go to their house because they made food for the people they invited to eat. After we finished eating we cleaned up and had to go back home because we had a funeral or what the Tongas say Apo. We got ready and had to travel to Favona because that is were the funeral took place. When we arrive we walked to were we normally sit and had to sing. 

It wasn't just our church it was churches from other places like Grey Lynn,Oreki,Papatoetoe,Otahuhu and more. The Funeral finished about 10:00 and we had to go home. We had a choice if we wanted to stay or not but I wanted to go so we had to go and travel back home. We arrived at home and I went straight to sleep.

I saw Siale there because it was his family,so that explains why he didn't come school for 2 to 3 days.

What I enjoyed on doing on sunday was going to my nieces blessing. My next step is to keep trying to spread and try make my reflection a bit longer.
