Technology Reflection

IALT: not cut out inside corners whaile cutting out glass.

Today I came late to school but still went to Technology. While we were still traveling to the destination we were singing songs. While we arrived we had to go and stand in our groups. Then when we were all in our groups we all went to our Technology classes. I am in Mr Grundy's class and he is doing glass work this term. When we went into the class and sat at our tables I sat with Irys,Aja and Cerenity. Then we got given our Papers we worked on and we had to carry on with our drawing. For this class we are working with Glass. With glass we are making things with straight lines. I drawed 6 drawing's and we only had to pick 1 so I picked my cross design and it is all blue. Then we got given a publish paper to publish our work on. I published my work on the paper and my drawing was very big. The colour of my Big Cross is a Dark blue and Light blue. After drawing it on to the paper it was just in time for us to pack up and go to the bus and go back to school.

What I found challenging was drawing the cross because it was big and I had to get all the lines the same. What I enjoyed was working with my class mates because this is the only time I work with these much people.

IALA: The ingredients used in Pasta Salad

Today for Technology Me and Stacey came late for Technology so we got dropped off from Mrs Fepuliai. When we arrived at Tamaki Kolisi(Tamaki College) we saw Mrs Kormor standing outside watching us. When we said Hi to Mrs Kormor we walked to our Technology class and they were standing outside. When I went over to Kelly she said that were early and that Mrs Tuipulotu had her home class. Then she let us in to put our bags/Netbooks/books away and put our aprons. Then we waited for Mrs Tuipulotu home class to finish so we can cook. Then they finished and we had to go wash our hands and get our tea towels and sit at our tables. Then we got told that we were making and we were making Pasta Salad. The ingredients we need is

• Macaroni
• Ham
• Mayonaise
• Tomato
• Onion

and the equipment you will need is

• Pot
• Spoon
• Knife
• Cutting Board(Red&Green)
• Bowl
• Strainer
• Slotted Spoon

So we had to dice the Ham,Onions and Tomato into small pieces and had to put it into our bowl. Then we put in our Macaroni into the pot and had to put water into it to boil and to be soft. Then when it was soft we had to put the strainer in the sink and pour our Macaroni in it so it can cool down and have to put water over it to cool down faster. Then we added all the ingredients all together and put Mayonnaise and stir it all together. Then we got to eat it. When we were eating the 1st Period just finished and it was 2nd period. Then we had to clean up and then walk to the bus and wait for the other technology classes to come so we can go back to our school.

What I found challenging was cutting the onions because it was going into my eyes.What my next step is to try cut the onions a different way so it doesn't go into my eyes. What I enjoyed was working with Stacey because it was more food for us.

IALT:Reflect on another Technology Session

Last week Thursday we traveled to Tamaki Kolisi(Tamaki College) to have another Technology Session with 3 Tamaki College teachers. When we got there we walked to our classes. When we got to our classes we had to do our and it was go put our netbook or books away and put our aprons on and go wash our hands and sit at our tables. When we were seated we go told to get our tea towels and dish soap. Then we got told what we were making and we were making mini quiche. Here are the Ingredients and Equipment you will need...

Equipment:

• Big Bowl
• Medium Bowl
• Whisk
• Desert Spoon
• Red Plastic scraper
• Muffintray
• Chopping board
• Knife
• 
  

Wet Ingredients:

• 2 Eggs
• 1 Cup of milk and whisk together.

Pastry:

• 1 Pastry
• Cut into 12 Pieces
• Put into sprayed muffin tray

Ham:

• Dice the Ham into small pieces

Cheese:

• Grade the cheese

Then we combined them altogether and put it the oven for 15 minutes. When 15 minutes was over it didn't look cooked but then we asked 1 of our classmates and  she said to take it out when the brown so we took it out and had to wait for it to cool down. It was quite hard to take out of the muffin tray because we didn't use baking paper on it so it was sticking to the muffin tray. When we finally took it out of the tray and ate some and it was so yum so I saved some to give to 1 of my friends. When we finished eating we had to clean up and wait behind our chairs to walk back to the bus and travel back to school.

What I found challenging was not knowing when it will be cooked because I haven quite made Quiche. What I enjoyed was eating the Quiche because it was so nice. What my next steps are is to try work on when its cooked.

Technology Reflection

IALT:Reflect on another Technology Session

Today we went to Tamaki Kolisi (College) for another Technology Session. When we arrived we were late but we thought we were early because it was quite. When Group 1 got cooking class Mrs Tuipulotu said we were late it was 9:20. So when we got in the classroom we had to walk and put our netbooks away and get our aprons and walk to the sink to wash our hands. When we sat down at our tables we had to listen to what Mrs Tuipulotu said. She said that we were making Chicken Kebab with Potato Salad. We had to cook everything but our salad was off because our egg was raw so we just ate a little bit and chucked it away. Our chicken was fine it was nice. When we finished we had to clean up wash all our dishes and get ready to go back to school. When we finished cleaning up we were 30 minutes early so we just sat down at our tables and took photos. Then Mrs Tuipulotu said to stand up and push our chairs in and walk to the bus. We walked to the us and waited for all the other groups and went back to school.

I dont have a photo but I would put a photo on when I get it and update this blogpost.

What I found challenging was not knowing when to take out the egg because it was raw. What I enjoyed was working with Stacey and Irys and making yum Chicken. What my next steps are is to try timing how long the egg is supposed to finish.

Technology Reflection

IALT: Reflect on another Technology session at Tamaki College

Today I woke up to a nice sunny pretty day and had to walk to school and traveled to Tamaki Kolisi (Tamaki College). When we got there we split up into our own group and had to walk to our Technology class. My technology class is with Mrs Tuipulotu and she is my food tech teacher for now. Then went inside and put our netbooks away and had to put our aprons on and walked and wash our hands. Then we had ti get what we needed and we ad to get our 3 Tea Towels and our dish soap and wait for Mrs Tuipulotu to tell us what we are making today was Cinnamon Jam Muffins. Firit on mif st we had to do our ingredients and I took a photo of it and shared it to me and this is the ingredients...

The we had to combine altogether ingredients altogether and put it in the muffin 15 minutes was over we tray and in to the oven. Then we had to time it to 15 Minutes and when the 15 minutes were over we had to take it out and let it cool down. After letting it cool down we had to take it out and put it on our cake cooling rack and wait for the photo to be taken. I felt so proud of myself because me and my peers have cooked on.

What I found challenging was folding the mixture because we had to get the scrapper and fold the mixture so I gave it to stacey. What my next steps are is to try learn something new in tech. What I enjoyed was working with my peers and baking food in the oven.

📖Technology Reflection📖

IALT:Reflect on what my experience was in my new Technology Class

Today I woke up at 7:30 and had to wash my face and get ready to go to school for another Technology Session at Tamaki College. When I left my house it was 8:00 and and it was freezing cold and there was fog every where. When I got to school I wanted to go back home because it was so cold and there was only a little bit of people at school. I saw the hall door open so I went and helped out with the Breakfast club. I was by myself with Mrs Thompson and then kids showed up. Everything went well and we did everything and then I went to class and had to get ready to go to our new Tech class. Then we went to Room 10 and did our role then walked down to bus and traveled to Tamaki College. When we got there Miss Ferguson and Mr Grundy came to our school then took ther class.

When my group got to the food class we were asked to find 3 people and I picked Stacey and Irys. We were group 1 and we went and sit on the first table. Then we started our session. Mrs Tuipulotu was our teacher and she told me and Stacey to got to the Cafeteria to Mrs Hekas kitchen and get Ice cream. So when me and Stacey went she wasnt there so we came back and Mrs Tuipulotu said its okay so we sat down and she started to talk to us about our equipment. The equipment we used were a...

Then we got our Ingredients and the ingredients were...

• Chocolate Syrup

Then we combined all of the ingredients and then we had to pour the mix into the big bowl then pour the mix in the big bowl into the Measuring Cup then pour it into our cups. Then Mrs Tuipulotu came with Whip Cream and Chocolate syrup and pour some on our cups of Oreo Shake. Then We had to take a photo before we drink our shake. After taking our photo and Drinking our shake we had to clean up and wash the dishes. Irys washed the dishes and Stacey clean the sink and I wiped down the The table and went to the bus then waited for all the other groups then traveled back to school.

What I found challenging was trying to tip out into the big bowl. What I enjoyed was that everyone had a drink. What My next steps are is to try share equal amounts of the shake with everyone in your group.

IALT:Reflect on what I have been currently working on in my technology session at Tamaki College

Today at 9:00 the Kia Manawanui Syndicate went to Tamaki College to have a a technology session with Miss Ferguson,Miss Tuipulotu and Mr Grundy. We were working on our Design Development and Jewelry Design because we haven't been working on it and its not finnish. I couldn't quite finish my work because the boys were to loud and 1 of the man were working in the room with his drill. Then Miss Ferguson was working on laminating paper for Miss Pamaka's church. Then we had to pack up and had to come back to school.

What I found challenging was to try work hard and try to finish my work on time. What I enjoyed on working with Leilani and Irys. What my next steps are to try to finish work on time and try to quite down the boys.

Technology Reflection.

IALT:Reflect on what I did at Technology

Today at 9:00 we went to Technology at Tamaki Kolisi ( Tamaki College). When we arrived my group was ready to go to our class because Mrs. Ferguson was waiting for us. When we got into our class we had to start our Compass skills. We had to start on it and finnish it because it was our last day today This is what I did. My Tech class had to draw 7 circles to make a flower and this is the steps.

1. Draw a circle with a compass and draw the

centre line through it with a ruler.

2. Where the first circle crossed the centre

line gives the centre points for the next

two circles.

Draw these circles in with a compass.

3. Where these 3 circles cross will give you

four points. These are the centre points

for your next circles.

4. Your 7 circles should now look like this.

Then I finished and this is my finished product.

My thoughts on today was getting to know how to use the Pair of Campasses , or is known as a Compass.Then we had to clean up and had to head back to school

What I found challenging was doing the circles because it was hard because it was my first time doing it. What my next steps are is to try get use to it. What I enjoyed was getting to finish before everyone.

WALT:Reflect on what we did at Technology

Today at 9:00 we walked to the bus to get to Tamaki College for another Technology lesson with Miss Ferguson,Mr Grundy and Mrs Tuipulotu. When we arrived first period had not started. Tamaki was in their home classes. The first period rang and Miss Ferguson had came to get group 1.

 

Then we started on with our task and it was to use Tinkercad. If yous dont know what Tinkercad is, Tinkercad is a site where you can make 3d thing online. Then Miss Ferguson shared us a presentation on what we have to do on Tinkercad. Then we had finished the presentation and we had to record ourselves on what we have done on tinkercad.

Then we got given a challenge as a class and we had to make an animal using and eg and the workplane. I haven't finished yet but I am looking forward on showing you in my next blogpost.

What I found challenging was that on Tinkercad, it was hard to rotate to look at the shapes if it was same size or not. What I enjoyed was that I didn't fob out when I was recording with Leilani. My thought on this project is that I can do more decoration on the nametag to be colourful.

IALT:Reflect on what we did at Technology

Today we did our role and traveled to Tamaki College to have another Technology Lesson with Miss Ferguson,Miss Tuipulotu and Mr Grundy. I had to finish my Concept Ideas drawing. On this photo I drew what my client likes. I chose my sister Vainga because I can think of anything she would like. What I chose to draw was Flowers,Necklace,Snapchat and Earrings. I worked hard on drawing the flower because she really likes flowers.Then we moved on to Design Developments and I chose the flower.I traced the flower on my Design Developments to give me and Idea on how the Flower would look. Next Week I will be blogging about my Design Development.

 What I found Challenging was trying to draw the flower without tracing. What I enjoyed in this Technology lesson was that I did a perfect flower.

Today I came to school late because I slept in.I came to school and they were leaving to go on the bus to Technology so I rushed out and went into the bus.I felt Tired when I woke up but I had to come school.When I got on the bus I went and sat with Losana. Then we drove to Tamaki College and had to wait outside when we arrived because we had 4 minutes until Period 1 finishes.During my time at Technology we were working a our Product Research.I felt like I would like this Presentation because I like jewelry.We talked about  Solo - Taxonomy,what  .I have learnt how the Structure order goes and what it means.They are...

Then we got given a paper and we had to draw what we said what our Client likes.I chose my sister because she is kind to me.We had to hold up our paper and had to fold it in half landscape way.I felt like it was going to be challenging for me because I don't really know how to draw and I gave it a try.Then we got given a little bit of time to start our reflection,then we came back to school.I felt happy that we got given a little bit of time because I needed to finish my reflection.Then we walked back to the bus and went back to school and had Morning Tea.

Today is a rainy day and we went to Technology.We arrived at Tamaki College and the gate was close so Miss Kyla went to look for a Teacher to ask them to open the gate.Then 1st Period finished  and then Mr Grundy came and open the gates.We got off the Bus and went to our Technology classes.I didn't feel like going Technology because it was a yucky day today and I wanted it to be sunny. We were in graphics.We did a Design Brief and it was naming 5 people and I had to pick 1 of them to do a design on.I picked my sister Vainga bacause it was her birthday today but we didn't design anything because Miss Ferguson said we are going to be designing next week.I felt bad on not designing anything today because I have no present to give my sister.What I learned in this Technology session was that a Anklet is a Ankle Bracelet.Then we finished our work and then we had to pack up and get ready to go on the bus and go back to school.

My highlight of today was when I learned what a Anklet is.What I found challenging today was that FInding out what my sister likes.What my next steps are is to ask my sister what she likes.

Technology Graphics - Lesson 1

Today we went to Tamaki College for Technology. We found out what our Technology classes were.Group 1 was with Miss Ferguson,Group 2 was with Miss Tuipulotu and Group 3 was with Mr Grundy.Today my group got put with Miss Ferguson and we did Graphic Design.

Miss Ferguson asked us what was the differences between 2D and 3D shapes. 2D is a flat shape and 3D is shapes like a Cube,Cylinder and Cone. We drew Ellipse,Cylinder and Cone.We also drew Oblique Cubes.We learned that 2D and 3D means 2&3 Dimension.

I learned that another word for Dimension is size.What I found challenging was that the Ellipse and Cone are two different shapes.I learned that Oblique is a 3D shape.What I liked about Technology was that I didn't need any help from anyone and I drew it myself.This term I would like to learn how to do 3D art.Next time I would like to work on is my shapes.

Today at Technology We had a reliver and her name was Miss Brown.In My reflection it will be talking about what I did at Technology and what site I went on to design.The site I went to design my design was Tinkercad and I designed a Charm Bracelet and a Key Chain.My next steps are to do more designed so I can be better at it.I enojiyed this Technology week becuase we got to design our own designs

Title:Scientists dive inside weird looking Mars funnel for the first time

It was 2009 when Joseph Levy pouring over images from the surface of the Martian planet.He was interested by what he found.He was looking deep into the of two craters known as the Hella's depression,other people have looked before but nobody saw what he saw.Last week, Dr levy and a team of researchers from the University of Texas at Austin went deep inside the craters for the first time.They produced detailed 3D measurement to determine with responsible certainty that if life ever exist on the red planet, it existed here.Dr Levy, a research associate at the University of Texas institute of Geo graphics,led the project.His findings were this month published in Icarus,The International Journal of Solar System Studies

Today my class got told to reflect on the Technology Section of NZ Herald.The topic I chose was Scientists dive inside weird looking Mars funnel for the first time.The new Idea I found was that they got the University of Texas at Austin to help research the Martian Planet.I enjoyed that I got to reflect on this because it was interesting. My next steps are to reflect more on what I was reading.The thing I am going to be doing next time is that I am going to put more information in my reflection.
