Technology Reflection.

IALT:Reflect on what I did at Technology

Today at 9:00 we went to Technology at Tamaki Kolisi ( Tamaki College). When we arrived my group was ready to go to our class because Mrs. Ferguson was waiting for us. When we got into our class we had to start our Compass skills. We had to start on it and finnish it because it was our last day today This is what I did. My Tech class had to draw 7 circles to make a flower and this is the steps.

Compass Skills
Flower Power

1. Draw a circle with a compass and draw the
centre line through it with a ruler.

2. Where the first circle crossed the centre
line gives the centre points for the next
two circles.
Draw these circles in with a compass.

3. Where these 3 circles cross will give you
four points. These are the centre points
for your next circles.

4. Your 7 circles should now look like this.

Then I finished and this is my finished product.

My thoughts on today was getting to know how to use the Pair of Campasses , or is known as a Compass. Then we had to clean up and had to head back to school

What I found challenging was doing the circles because it was hard because it was my first time doing it. What my next steps are is to try get use to it. What I enjoyed was getting to finish before everyone.

A day at Te Oro

IALT: Reflect on my day at Te Oro

Today at 8:30 the TPS performers went in a van and traveled to Te Oro. When we arrived we went to our room upstairs and had a look. When we looked in our room upstairs we saw Losana's work on the wall for display and it was about different kinds of things like

  • Ko au te awa Ko te awa ko au (I am the river and the river is me)
  • Rocket on our learning
  • Learn,Create and Share
  • Tamaki Rivers
  • Family
  • Brain Storm and more.
Then we had a look around for a little bit and we had a look at some schools like
  • Pt England
  • Panmure Bridge
  • Glen Innes and more.
Then it was our turn to perform. It didn't quite go well because the sound system didn't work so we had to use the microphone to listen to the Laptop. Then we had to start the performance and it was quite so it was hard to hear the music when we were singing because it was quite so we just sang on the last verse and it went quite well and then we finished. Then Me,Losana,Gary,Metui and Miss aireen stayed to present.

What I found challenging was singing in our performance because we couldn't hear the music. What I enjoyed was getting to see all the schools present there work. Maybe the next steps for Te Oro should be to check the sound before performing.

I hope you like it Comment,Feedback and Feedforward oon what I need to work on in my future blogpost.

Te Tuhi art Gallery Reflection

Hi my name is Ana and I and here to tell yous guys about my  experience at the Te Tuhi art gallery. Today at 9:15 am my class went on the bus and traveled to the art gallery. When we arrived we walk inside and had to sit down at the area that the instructor took us to. When we sat down she introduced us to the Te Tuhi art gallery. The instructor's name was Salome. She said we got the name  Te Tuhi because the Maori ancestors left its mark ( Tuhi ) on the Pohutukawa tree. Then she took us to a art studio where we were talking about Climate change. When we finished talking about Climate change we had Ripped paper,Glue,Water Paint,Pencils,Art pencils and Card paper. We had to get out our Blueprint and we had to re create it with watercolours. After that we had to go to where we were sitting and got told that we were going to walk around. We walked around this creative art and it was made with metal poles and can hold a bed. Then followed the poles and it leaded us to the outside where there were showers. Then we came back inside and we had to answer these questions about something in the art gallery. My group chose the bus and train handles. These are some of the questions all the groups had to answer.
  • What are they made out of
  • Where were they made
Then we had to come back to where we were seated when we came and Salome said that it was time for us to head back so Room 10 can come. We were asked seat ourselves on the bus and travel back to school. We arrived at school and Room 10 was waiting so we had to get off and went to class and hod to do our reflection on it.

My thoughts on the Te Tuhi art gallery was that it was so cool like the poles were made out of metal and how it can hold 2 beds.
What I found challenging was coloring in my drawing with the paint because there were so small sides that I couldn't colour in. What I enjoyed was getting to know how they came up with then name of the Gallery. What my next steps is to find more facts about the gallery

I hope you like my Reflection be sure to leave Comments Feedback and Feedforward on what I need to work on in my future blogpost.

What Tamaki Means to us

WALT: create and brainstorm a bunch of words, Me and Losana thinks Tamaki means to us.

I have created a wordle about what Tamaki means to us. The site I used was Wordcloud. I have created this because Losana is presenting an ambassador presentation about our Tamaki Rivers and what it means to her. In the presentation I have worked on with Losana she is going to be presenting with 13 other schools. Some of the words me and Losana used were

  • Glen Innes
  • School
  • Family
  • Fun
  • Cultures
  • Home
  • Different and more

We used these word's because it location all over our tamaki rivers. For more information visit Losana's blog (CLICK HERE).

What I found challenging was finding this site because it was had to just make it on a presentation so I found the Wordcloud site and found it easier to work on. What I enjoyed was working with Losana because we had our laughs but still finished our work. My next steps are to find more words to fill up the whole page.

⛵Large ship missing in Atlantic⛵

IALT: Reflect on an article I have currently read.

Today I have read an article about a Large ship missing in the Atlantic.

I have read this article on Kiwikids news. Kiwi Kids news said that the South korean ship has been missing in the Atlantic. The Korean ship had 24 members and was departed from Brazil last week. Last week friday a crew member sent a text and said that the 312m-long stellar daisy freighter was taking on water. The Uruguayan navy alarmed ship in the area, which began their search. They haven't found the ship right this moment. In South Korea the government has requested an assistance to help to search for the ship, from Brazil and Uruguay.

what I found challenging was reading and putting the hard works into my own words. I enjoyed reading this article because it was something to do with the world. What my next step is to try find out more about this article to make it longer.

Weekend reflection - Sunday

IALT:Reflect on what I did Today

Today I woke up and had a shower to get myself ready for sunday school and a service. In our sunday school upcoming event it is reading a verse from the Bible or from the Questions and Answers book about the bible. So I got up and ready 1 verse because we have to do 10 verses and I leard 2 already a little bit. So then I finish readying my verse and I went for a shower and then I had to come and put on our traditional clothes called Puletaha or what Samoans like to call it Puletasi. SO then I got dressed into my Pink lace Puletaha and I had to do my hair. Then I got into the car with my cousin, brother and mum and then traveled to sunday school. My mum said she was going to drop us off because she was cleaning up a little bit and the whole church service doesn't start until 11:00. When we got the we had our sunday school for 2 or 1 hour I didn't now because I didn't keep track of the time. When sunday school finish we had to seat or self because the service was for ages. When the service started everyone had to sing at times when he would pray or stand up and say the word from the Hymn. It went on till it finished. I forgot what time it finished and we had to stay at church for choir. We had to stay at church for choir because we have this thing that all the Siasi O Tonga Tauataina churches go together and perform a song. Then we came home and had to clean up a bit more then wen to sleep for school and Sports the next morning.

What I enjoyed doing today was choir because it was fun then we had to sing the whole song. What I found challenging was staying at the service for ages and having to clean up my room when we came back. What my next steps are is to try clean up my room before sunday so I dont have to clean it up.

Weekend Reflection - Saturday

IALT:Reflect on what I was doing during my weekend.

Today I woke up to just me and my sister at home because my mum, cousin and brother gone to drop him off. Then I went for a shower because it was nearly 9:00 and it was my violin time to be there. What equipment I used was a...

  • All for strings Violin Book
  • Violin
  • Bow

Then we were asked to hold our bow and strum the Violin with your bow. On the Violin it has letters to tell you what the strings are. So the first string was G and it was the lowest and it was at the right top of Violin, then there was the second string and it was D,D is the second lowest string. Third string was A and it was the first high one, Then theres the last string which is the fourth string was the highest out of all. Then I went home with my cousin and watched movies for 3 hours on our T.V. The movies I watched were
  1. Moana
  2. 100 Dalmatians
  3. Nanny Mcphee

Then we had to clean up the whole day because our rooms were messy. My mum said that we had to clean until choir which was 6:00. So I wanted to clean up and try to finish because I wanted to have a rest from cleaning. It reached 6:00 and it was time to find a traditional clothing called Tupenu which wraps around your waste and down. When we went to church for choir we did three songs and 2 song I didn't quite know of so that was a good way to learn. Then we came back home and had Milo and bread.

What I found challenging today was waking up early in the morning like about 6:00 to have a shower. What my next step is to try find out more movies I can watch. What I enjoyed on completing this day was to watch movies with my cousins because Moana was quite funny.
