Technology Reflection

Today at Technology We had a reliver and her name was Miss Brown.In My reflection it will be talking about what I did at Technology and what site I went on to design.The site I went to design my design was Tinkercad and I designed a Charm Bracelet and a Key Chain.My next steps are to do more designed so I can be better at it.I enojiyed this Technology week becuase we got to design our own designs

Jingle bell is best known for its Christmas song around the world,the person who wrote it was James Lord Pierpont and it originally came from Savannah,Savannah is a city in Georgia United states of America.

🤘🔔:Jingle Bell Rock:🔔🤘

Jingle Bell Rock was originally made in America and it was written by Bobby Helms.The lyrics of Jingle Bell rock means the old Christmas.

🎅✌️:Santa Claus Is Coming to town:🎅✌️

Santa Claus is coming to town was originally written by John Fredrick Coots and Haven Gillespie and it was originally written in Turkey. The lyrics means Santa is giving out present and if you want presents you better watch out,you better not cry,you better not pout im telling you why Santa claus is coming to town.

1# Netherlands

Tradition: Sinterklaas and Black Peter

In Holland Santa Claus is called Sinterklaas. He doesn’t live at the North Pole, but in sunny Spain and arrives by steamboat with a helper called Black Peter rather than an elf.

Tradition: Rudolph the red nosed Kangaroo

Of course Down Under Christmas falls in summer. There tradition has it that Father Christmas swaps his reindeer for ‘six white boomers’ or kangaroos. It’s also traditional to enjoy a barbecue on the beach on the big day.

Tradition: Spider webs on the tree

It may sound more like a Halloween tradition than a Christmas one but Ukrainians decorate their Christmas trees with spider webs. Legend says that a magic spider once visited a poor family at Christmas and turned the webs in their home into gold and silver.

Today we got given a task on gmail and it was to research on origins of Christmas.My new ideas from doing this activity was that Jingle bells was written for Thanksgiving not for Christmas.What I found challenging was that I we had to write about what the lyrics mean.What I enjoyed was that I got to research more about Christmas Songs.My next steps are to find more facts about Christmas.

WALT:Reflect events that happen around the world.

Black Gold

Today we got given a task to read about on Nz Herald and the article was called Black Gold.I think they named it Black gold because they have Black hair and they make money when they sell it.I took me 35 minutes to read because how long the article was.I think this article was sad because the people in Taihe cut of girls long hair and if that was me I would cry because they would cut off long hair like mine.I think the author's purpose of writing this article is because they are cutting off pretty long hair from girls that have long hair.I think there is such a high demand for hair because in Taihe they cut off hair and they sell it on the street. I think the society would change if it wasn't on demand if everyone started to cut their hair and sell it.What I found challenging was that it took me ages to read.My next steps are to Skim and Scan through so I can read faster
